Eton Arts Week
Eton Arts Week 2026
Eton Arts Week was a resounding success in its first year. For 2026 it’s back, ready to transform this historic town to an arts destination yet again. Between 23rd and 31st May Eton will be teeming with art and art related events. There will be lots of beautiful art to view and to purchase as well as a number of activities to get involved in for young and old.
Eton Arts Trail
Eton High Street turned into one long art gallery is certainly a sight to behold. Throughout Eton Arts Week, art created by local artists will be displayed in windows – from Windsor Bridge at the southern end, to Baldwins Bridge at the northern end of the High Steet. The art will be available to buy as well as to admire. Arts Trail maps will be available at Eton Information Centre from 23rd May and here for an online version.
En Plein Air Eton
The opening event of Eton Arts Week is of course Eton En Plein Air. It will take place on Saturday 23rd May and this year even more beautiful locations have been added. Painting starts at 9.00 in the morning and our judging panel will announce the winning paintings late afternoon. All the En Plein Air paintings will be on display at the Austen-Leigh and Baldwin Institute Sunday 24th and Monday 25th May and the visiting public can vote for their favourite painting.
You’ll find more information on the event and how to apply to take part here.
Art Exhibition
The talented group of artists from Windsor Artists Collective, together with some guest artists, will be back with an art exhibition and sale at the Austen-Leigh and Baldwin Institute on the weekend of 30th to 31st May. There will be art of lots of different styles and techniques available to purchase, and you will have the opportunity to meet the artists too. A full listing of exhibiting artists will be available here later in the spring.
Talks, Workshops & Family Activities
We are preparing an extensive programme of activities this year, ranging from creative workshops, demonstrations and talks for adults, to classes. entertainment and free activities for children. The full schedule will be published in March. If you’d like to be first to know and get early access to the booking system, fill in this form and we will notify you by email for priority access.
